Tuesday Turnaround: From turning something old into something "new" to turning your thinking around, you can save yourself some $money$ either way.
Have you given much thought to what you will be doing for your mother for Mother's Day this year?
I'm sure we have all seen the ads on TV for expensive jewelry and SALES for Mother's Day. I personally think it's a bigger expense than it's worth to try to make Mom feel special with material things.
Some of the BEST gifts I have received were not bought by my children. They were either made by them (or with the help of their teachers) or done by them. What I mean by "done" is them actually doing something for me to show they care.
It is a little different when you are an adult, though, and trying to save money. You know you want to be sure to tell your mother that you love her, but you don't necessarily have to take out a loan to do it.
Sometimes a simple card or a phone call is all you need. If you live close enough or don't have to travel far, take your mother to lunch or even make her lunch.
Just remember, your mother will appreciate the thought more than the monetary value of the gift if it comes from the heart.
