Tuesday Turnaround: Spring Break "Staycation" Ideas

Tuesday Turnaround: From turning something old into something "new" to turning your thinking around, you can save yourself some $money$ either way.

Spring Break is HERE in East Texas!!

Are you unable to go out of town?

Well, here are a few ideas to keep the kids entertained and stay on your budget at the same time:
  • Specially marked boxes of Totino's Pizza have a code for a FREE Redbox rental (follow directions on the box).
  • The park is ALWAYS FREE!! There are several in the Tyler area. Try out a different one each day to keep the kids excited.
  • Have the kids help plan dinner: Choose menu, write a grocery list, shop for items, help cook and set a nice table (tacos are easy if you cook the meat). ;oP MMMMM!
  • Eat icecream for dinner. It's a fun and memorable activity that you obviously won't do all the time. hehe!
  • Invite a friend over for the day as a reward for helping to clean up the house.
  • Read a book with your kids. One funny thing you can do with older kids is to each get a book and take turns reading a line from each book. Sometimes it makes the silliest story.
  • OR just "play" with your kids (Puzzles, Legos, action figures/dolls).
The list is endless. Just think of some things that you liked to do when YOU were a kid.

You'll be glad you did!

Thank you for reading! :o)
