Tuesday Turnaround: Grocery Savings on Baked Goods

Tuesday Turnaround: From turning something old into something "new" to turning your thinking around, you can save yourself some $money$ either way.

One section of the grocery store that can really take a bite out of your wallet is the BAKERY. Have you ever wanted those baked goods that are "fancier" than the average loaf of bread?
Well, I have the BEST time looking through the "last-chance" baked goods racks. Items that are going to "expire" that day are usually discounted about 30-40% off! :o)

What does "expired" really mean on baked goods anyway. It means that the store is required to get rid of it by a certain date. So long as you eat it that day or the next, it is still okay. (I've never had a problem by following this rule.)

Our local Wal-Mart on Troup Hwy. in Tyler has theirs located in the back of the grocery section between the open-top, freezer cases.

Check out the baked goods that I found yesterday at Wal-Mart. :oP Mmmmm!

Thank you to my friend Taylor for letting me take a picture of his sandwich while it cooled off. ;o)
