CVS Gift Card List (week of 12/18/11)
With a $30 purchase of specially marked items in this week's CVS ad, you can get a $10 gift card.
($30-->$10card)
The gift cards shown in the ad are: CVS, Barne's & Noble, Applebee's, Old Navy/Gap companies, Shell gas, Macy's, and American Express (not sure if there are others to choose from).
Limit 5 per week while supplies last (no rainchecks). See store for full details.
The $30 purchase is BEFORE the coupons, so you can really save a bundle when you factor in the $10 gift card. One trick I have figured out is that you don't have to be over or even exactly at the $30 mark on reward deals at CVS, so if an item is $9.99 the 1c difference to the next dollar amount does not matter toward your total.
Items included in purchase requirement choices (prices listed are BEFORE Qs):
If I missed an item in the ad or there are other unadvertised items on the gift card list that are not listed here, I do apologize for human error. Also, I can not be held responsible if the store does not allow a deal for any reason.

Movies on the Cheap! Prices for 2012!
* * * * * * For a more updated price list for Tyler Carmike 14, please see the post on 4/16/12 (tab: Other) * * * * * *
The ticket prices around town have gone up for 2012. Here is the updated post for my fellow movie-goers.
Recycle your 2011 popcorn bucket when you purchase your 2012 bucket ($17.50) at Carmike and get a FREE lg drink! :o)
A person could spend a small fortune taking a family of 4 to see the latest movie at the theater. With all the summer blockbusters that are scheduled to come out this year, the avid moviegoer can easily rack up a big bill. And that's before they even get to the concession counter. Now let's be realistic about our finances and still get to see a movie before it leaves the theater -- even on the first week of release.
Some theater chains have promotions that can make I trip to the movies more affordable. By combining a few of them, you can take a family of 4 to the movies right here in Tyler, TX -- including popcorn and drinks -- for under $30!! Here are the deals I have found at Carmike Cinemas (Tyler):
$22 tickets
+ $3.50 popcorn
+ $4 drinks
=$29.50 TOTAL!!!
Another plus is that, by waiting until Tuesday, the crowd is loosened up after a movie release on Friday so you won't have to fight the traffic of other moviegoers.
Oh, and don't forget to use your Carmike Rewards Card to earn FREE stuff from Carmike!! :o)
++ I am not held responsible for any changes of prices after my post has been published. Please let me know of any changes so that I can make the corrections on this post. Thank you. :o) ++

*** If you have a 2011 bucket, you can trade it in for a FREE lg drink
with the purchase of a NEW 2012 bucket! ***
- Stimulus Tuesdays deals: Small popcorn $1, Small drink $1, Boxed candy $2.50
- Super-Saver price: Any movie starting between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM is only $5.50/person
Now, assuming you already have the refillable popcorn bucket and throwing out the candy deal because it is still overpriced, this is how a family of 4 can see a movie for $29.50:
Go on Tuesday evening for the $1 drinks (x4 = $4). Pick a start time that is between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM for the $5 tickets (x4 = $20). Use your refillable popcorn bucket for the cheap popcorn ($2.50).

CVS Gift Card List (week of 11/27/11)
With a $30 purchase of specially marked items in this week's CVS ad, you can get a $10 gift card.
($30-->$10card)
At the end of this post, see my own personal scenario for this week's ad. ;o)

**Don't forget to scan your card at the "Magic Coupon Machine". This week it is printing $3 off Any $10 HAND OR BODY LOTION purchase!!**
If I missed an item in the ad or there are other unadvertised items on the gift card list that are not listed here, I do apologize for human error. Also, I can not be held responsible if the store does not allow a deal for any reason.
My own personal shopping scenario for this week (11/27/11):
1. Pantene Pro-V Shampoo, conditioner 12.6oz or styler 5.7-11.5oz
2@2/$6.97 - $3/2Q = 2/$3.97
2. Nature Made Vitamins or Supplements = BOGO
$8.99 for 2 - $4CVS Q (Magic Q Machine) - $2CVS Q (Magic Q Machine) - 2:$1Qs = 99c for 2
3. Peanuts Countdown Ornament = $14.95
Before Qs = $30.91 (meets the $30 requirement)
$3.97 + 99c + 14.95 = $19.91 - $10Gift Card = $9.91 for ALL!!
Approximately 32c on the dollar for this deal.
That averages to:
Pantene = $2.23 for 2 ($1.12 each)
Vitamins = $2.88 for 2 ($1.44 each)
Ornament = $4.79
($30-->$10card)
At the end of this post, see my own personal scenario for this week's ad. ;o)

*Indicates in ad that there was a coupon in this week's paper. (There may be some Qs from previous weeks as well.)
Pantene = $2.23 for 2 ($1.12 each)
Vitamins = $2.88 for 2 ($1.44 each)
Ornament = $4.79

CVS Gift Card List (week of 11/20/11)
With a $30 purchase of specially marked items in this week's CVS ad, you can get a $10 gift card.
($30-->$10card)

CVS Gift Card Scenario (week of 10/23/11)
I found a LOT of good deals in this week's Gift Card list. For a FULL list of the items on this week's list, be sure to view my previous post here on the blog with all the details. Here is what I bought this week at CVS toward my Gift Card (I chose a $10 CVS Gift Card.):
- 4 Cheetos/Fritos 2/$6
- 8 Gatorade $1.99 each BOGO (2/$1.99)
- 4 Kleenex $1 each
- 1 Scott Choose-A-Size paper Towels $6 - $1Q **
I paid $17.96 (after Qs and $10 Gift Card Reward) for everything listed here.
I did the math and I come up with the following prices per item on average
(at approx 60c to the dollar):
- Cheetos/Fritos $1.80 each
- Gatorade $1.19 each BOGO (2/$1.19 or 60c each)
- Kleenex 60c each
- Scott Choose-A-Size paper Towels $3.59
Don't forget to check your Qs. You may have some that I didn't or you may be able to come up with a scenario of your own with different products that works better for you and your lifestyle. Feel free to share these with us on the FB page. :o)
**I found so many items this week that I realized that I had over spent by $6 toward this card (I bought 2 paper towels instead of just the one mentioned in the scenario). The good news is that that $6 will be used toward a second gift card! :-) Now to figure out $24 in additional products to buy.
CVS Gift Card List (week of 10/23/11)
With a $30 purchase of specially marked items in this week's CVS ad, you can get a $10 gift card.
($30-->$10card)
The gift cards shown in the ad are: CVS, Barne's & Noble, Applebee's, Old Navy companies, Shell gas, Macy's, Gap, and American Express (not sure if there are others to choose from).
Items included in purchase requirement choices:
If I missed an item in the ad or there are other unadvertised items on the gift card list that are not listed here, I do apologize for human error. Also, I can not be held responsible if the store does not allow a deal for any reason.

Shopping at Walgreens and CVS (week of 10/16/11)
I don't want to disappoint everyone, but I really did not find enough in the CVS and/or Walgreens ads this week to make it worth a special trip to the stores. I will, however, tell you about a couple of deals that I found that are Money Makers (MMs).
I will also be comprising a list for CVS of the "Gift Card" deals for your convenience. This will be posted in a day or two. :o)
Here are the deals I am highlighting:
If you got a 50c catalina from Walgreens for their W Brand pads, be sure to use it when purchasing yours this week. They are FREE with the RR, but a 50c MM with the Q added.
$2 - 50cWQ - $2RR = 50c MM
If you still have your $8/2 Covergirl cosmetic Q, you can use it at Wal-Mart on 2 eyeshadow singes for a $1.72 MM.
2x$3.14 - $8/2Q = $1.72 MM
Don't forget to stay tuned for the CVS Gift Card list that will be posted soon! :o)
